ARTILLUS - Else Krogh-Hansen is an artist, illustrator and graphic designer.
I live and work just outside of Oslo.

EDUCATION: Oslo National Academy of the Arts( KHiO), Line of free fabulizing illustration 1983-1986, and Institute of illustration og graphic design 1991-1994. I have also studied at the Northwest College of Art, USA (1987-88). Completed a course in Web design at IGM (The Norwegian Digital Media Institute) 2011.

WORK EXPERIENCE: 1995-2004 and 2007-2009, Solum Forlag: I worked as a graphic designer with layout and bookcovers, and as an editor of adapted literature for the disabled, schoolbooks and picturebooks. I secured financial support for many of these publications. I have given several lectures on the design and production of adapted literature. Solum Forlag is a small publishing house in Oslo.

Working freelance I have illustrated many educational and non fiction books, among them: Prinsen som våknet, (About the life of Buddha) (Solum, 1999), the picture books Gullbergslottet (Bonnier Carlsen, 1995) og Apepiken Mei Ping (Solum, 2003).

OTHER DESIGN: I enjoy knitting clothes from my own designs, and spending time in my garden working on a long term designproject making patterns and big designs using natural rock.
